Equal Opportunities Study 2026: Municipal Record and Business Stability

The five-year study reveals a striking shift in the Lithuanian public sector alongside a stable situation in business. While in 2022 only 2 municipalities publicly announced an equal opportunities action plan, by 2026 this number has risen to as many as 46.

Key Insights from This Year’s Study:

– Historical record in local self-government: Kupiškis District Municipality became the first in the history of the study to score the maximum number of points. The overall municipal evaluation average stands at 6.99 points and has been growing consistently over the past five years.

– Emerging focus on specific issues: 7 municipalities are already identifying specific problems unique to them, while 22 municipalities declare implementing disability employment quotas.

– Stable trends in business: Corporate sector results remain unchanged, with only a minor shift observed. UAB “Ignitis”, AB “ESO”, and AB “Telia Lietuva” maintain the highest evaluations among the country’s major companies.
