Assessing the adaptability of offices and workspaces
How to adapt working conditions for people with different capabilities.
The physical accessibility of the working environment is particularly important for people with disabilities and neurodiverse individuals. This includes not only freedom of movement in the office – adapted entrances, elevators, restrooms, or workstations – but also less noticeable things: lighting, noise levels, clear signage, and the ability to retreat to a quieter space. A properly adapted physical environment helps employees feel safe, reduces stress, and increases independence and engagement. In cooperation with other institutions, we assess organizations’ offices and other workspaces for their suitability for people with disabilities or neurodiverse individuals. We provide detailed reports and recommendations for changes needed to create a physical work environment that is comfortable, safe, and accessible to all.
