Office and Workspace Accessibility Assessment

The physical accessibility of the work environment is essential for people with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals. This covers not only freedom of movement within the office – accessible entrances, elevators, restrooms, or workstations – but also less visible factors: lighting, noise levels, clear signage, and the ability to withdraw to a quieter space. A properly adapted physical environment helps employees feel safe, reduces stress, and increases independence and engagement. In collaboration with other institutions, in 2025 we gave members the opportunity to assess their offices and other workspaces for how well they accommodate people with disabilities or neurodivergent individuals. We provided detailed reports and the necessary changes needed to create a physical work environment that is comfortable, safe, and accessible to everyone.
