Lithuanian Diversity Charter Association

The Lithuanian Diversity Charter is an organisation that.
The organisation helps businesses and other institutions.
From now on, we will refer to it as the Diversity Charter.

The Diversity Charter helps make everyone feel good at work.
For example, people with disabilities or people from other countries.

The Diversity Charter belongs to the European Charter Group.
This means that there are many Diversity Charters in Europe.
There are many countries in Europe.
Every country in Europe has a Diversity Charter.
For example, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries have a Diversity Charter.

The Charter has over 40 members.
Each member is a company.
A company is a labour organisation.
For example:
A grocery shop enterprise,
A computer company.

The Diversity Charter helps these companies work.
The Diversity Charter helps other organisations to implement equal opportunities at work.
This means working hard, supervising and training other companies to be safe for workers.
For example, the Diversity Charter teaches companies that the workplace must be safe to work in.
For example, a worker cannot be mistreated because he or she speaks another language.

The Diversity Charter carries out research and tries to find out how workers in Lithuania live, for example whether they have equal rights at work.
For example, the Diversity Charter teaches companies that all people should receive equal pay for the same work.
For example, a female salesperson and a male salesperson should receive the same amount of money.
The Diversity Charter works to ensure that all people feel safe and happy at work. These are the people who:

have a disability

have a different skin colour

are older

are younger (of a different gender)
