Inclusion of LGBT+ people

The Lithuanian Diversity Charter advises companies and other organisations on how to create a workplace that is inclusive and supportive of all and how to make a constructive contribution to change by ensuring equal rights for LGBT+ people. Advice includes inclusive communication, equal pay, parental leave, necessary healthcare, etc.

In 2024, together with LGL and international partners, we also launched a traineeship programme for LGBT+ people under 30, who often face difficulties in entering the labour market due to discrimination and social exclusion. We invite socially responsible employers to provide internships for LGBT+ candidates to help participants gain work experience, professional skills and confidence.

Organisations that provide internships are offered professional training sessions on LGBT+ history, community, inclusion, safe environments, how to respond to discrimination in the workplace and more.

Training sessions are delivered by experts from Lithuania and abroad.
