We are looking for volunteers!
Lithuanian Diversity Charter is looking for volunteers!
The Lithuanian Charter for Diversity invites you to join us on 3 June. The Diversity Charter’s annual conference “Open Cities”, organised in partnership with Baltic Pride, is taking place at Vilnius Town Hall on June 6.
At the conference, mayors from European and Canadian cities will discuss how municipalities can contribute to creating open and welcoming cities that are good places for everyone to live. Businesses will share how they ensure equal opportunities for their employees and customers, how much they care about diversity and human rights and why. Representatives of the United Nations and international organisations will discuss how to ensure the integration of migrants in the EU and especially in Lithuania. Finally, on the eve of Baltic Pride, we will discuss the LGBT situation in the country and the role of the state and business in improving it.
The event will be hosted by Erica Jennings. The event is scheduled to start at 9 am.
We are looking for volunteers to help make the conference a success! Volunteers are needed to ensure a smooth start to the event – registration, greeting guests, coordinating the flow of people and other important tasks.
Volunteering will give you the opportunity to listen to the conference presentations and discussions, and to meet the guests. The provisional programme of the event can be found here – www.diversityconference.lt.
Anyone interested is invited to send a short motivation letter to gabija@diversity.lt by 17 May.
