Closing the gender pay gap
In order to reduce the gender pay gap, Swedbank has carried out a comprehensive analysis of the organisation’s staff salaries to. After identifying positions where the gender pay gap was unjustified, an action plan was prepared and a specific budget was allocated to close the gender pay gap. Within a couple of years, the gap was reduced to 1%.
Assessing the gender pay gap has become part of the organisation’s daily work. When new employees are recruited or salaries are reviewed, decisions are always monitored to see what impact they have on the gender pay gap within teams and across the organisation.
